The Timberline trail, over 35 miles long, circles Mt Hood at the level of the timberline, hence the name. People hike and backpack it in a few days, a friend of mine has run it as a marathon-style run. I hike it slowly with a camera. This view is from the west and shows McNeil Point on the left and Yocum Ridge on the right across the Sandy River valley.
